Yeah, I know, I could have thought up a better title for this post, but it’s 6:39 MST (9:39 EDT) and my brain is fried.

Friday: I think I’m finally over my jet lag enough to function between normal hours now. The first night it really kicked my butt - I was in bed by 9pm! Haven’t done that since I was in school. My body said it’s midnight, but my brain said it’s only 9pm - what are you doing??? Oh well, I’m over it now.

The first day was interesting. Cryssy and I went to the local IKEA store. I haven’t been to one of those since Philly (Plymouth Meeting mall for those of you with fond remembrances of the old gold and blue building by the Interstate). That was exciting. We tried to look for the racks we wanted to get for the kitchen (to add more storage space vertically), but we never did find them. Found the desk that she wanted for the home office though.

After IKEA, we stopped at Mancini’s for lunch. This place was frakin’ awesome!!! The owners are originally from Philly, so they serve up authentic cuisine from the city. I haven’t had a cheesesteak like that since I was a kid and my mom use to make them for my dad and I every Friday. I’m talkin’ gooey, oozing Whiz on steak with sauteed onions and peppers. Yum yum!

Saturday: We did a little bit of running around her part of town. Got to see where she worked the day prior, but we stopped in again for a second time. It’s a really nice store and she works with a lot of good people. I almost feel a little guilty for taking here away from it. I just hope the new store she’ll be working at in Greenwood is as nice and the employees are just as friendly (Hoosier hospitality).

We also did some running to the fake Apple Store. It’s called MacMedia/The iPod Store. They’re not actually an Apple Store as you may know it, but they’re licensed to sell Apple branded items and other accessories for the Mac.

After doing some grocery shopping, we came back to her house to cook dinner for her parents. It was the best meal I’ve had in quite some time. Cryssy definitely has skills in the kitchen!

Sunday: Today, we’re heading out to her friend’s house for a day trip photo shoot. I finally get to see Cryssy doing what she loves to do best. I’ll write more later, as I have to get ready for the day.

Ciao!
